The real lesson of Trump's social media silencing

After the shocking events of Jan. 6, it is understandable that many are celebrating Trump's online muzzling as essential consequences--something unfortunately easier to demonstrate within corporate America than the halls of Washington, writes Ethan Zuckerman. But if you are afraid that Trump's removal from Twitter and Facebook reflect the outsize power those platforms have over public life, you're not wrong: we are now discovering how vulnerable online speech can be.
